Department Meetings Services (DMS)

As management support division of TU, Meeting Services Department, known as Meetings Management International (MMI), provides a full-spectrum of meetings services from concept stage to the delivery of end products, such as conference proceedings. MMI provides a one-stop full-service, turn-key system. Professional meeting planners and meeting organizers with over 100 years of cumulative, diverse experience, and state-of-the-art hardware and software, provide the essentials for smooth and successful meeting management. MMI has over 30 years of hands-on experience in planning and organizing all types and sizes of over 200 meetings, including conferences, tutorials, symosia, workshops, "blue-ribbon" panels, expositions, demonstrations, and theme events, both in the United States and abroad. It has the experience and resources for organizing classified meetings, and producing the proceedings.

As part of TU, the MMI staff has access to TU's Department of Publishing Services (DPS) (see separate section), with graphic designers, for preparing promotional literature, posters, call for papers, announcements, manuscript preparation, and publishing of hard/soft cover books.

MMI has managed all aspects of meetings, including advertising, scheduling, solicitation of papers, announcements, liaison, protocol, and coordination with major commands, staff members, authors, and exhibitors. Items such as selection and negotiation of major hotels and conference space, exhibit and display space, banquets, meals, and tours of areas of interest to attendees and spouses have been an integral part of the duties and functions of our meetings personnel.
